In
the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the merciful
My success lies with
Allah, on Him do I rely and to Him do I refer Hud:88
By the commencing of the
academic year 1999-2000 Majdalawi Educational Institute will have become 40 years old
through which it will have created (made) a history linked together with the history of
the development of Higher Education in Jordan and Arab World at the second half of the 20th
century.
We felt the importance of
our role in serving university students of Distance Education when the conference of the
American, Canadian and British universities was held on Sep., 1985 at the University of
Hull in England. It was mentioned there that (a unique formula of educational business is
discovered in the middle East called Majdalawi Educational Institute which took care and
served thousands of students of Distance Education who obtained their university degrees
from fully accredited universities.
The Globalization which
is considered as a great characteristic feature of the 21st Century assures
that Majdalawi has a positive portion by shortening the distances and connecting most of
the universities of the five continents to be available for regular and irregular Arab
students who are seeking university studies. This has been done by Majdalawi who
challenged all difficulties and hindrances which faced the development of Higher Education
in the Arab world and in particular the Distance Education which we were its pioneers in
the world after the Japanese Open University being established in 1958.
It is true to say that ,
since 1960 until today, the successful business of Majdalawi has lead the educational
authorities concerned all over the universe to accept, approve and adopt the Distance
Education and work hard to establish more open universities to meet the requirement of the
academic characteristic of the 21st century which appeared as a result of the
quick revolution of technology and information that made the Globe a small village in
front of students.
At last but not the
least, I have to confess here that I am deeply indebted To Allah, the powerful, the
capable and the Merciful, to my sponsors of Higher Education in Jordan and the Arab world,
to my brothers (Naim , Fahim and Ibrahim) and to my staff who worked timelessly with their
utmost loyalty as one team.
Finally, I would like to
announce that Majdalawi, by the will and help of Allah will continue this honest business
which is derived from our Islamic code that encourages mankind to look after and seek for
knowledge and science.
And we are sure that our
success refers to Allah who is always our Patron.
